You are here

If feels like everywhere you look, you see a photo taken from inside a tent looking out to one epic view. On the outside you're tired of seeing the same image over and over, but on the inside, you're completely jealous. You want to wake up to that epic view. I want to wake up to that epic view.

Some of the best views require miles and miles of hiking, feet and feet of elevation gain, and more huffing and puffing than you were prepared for. But it's all the extra effort that it takes to get yourself to the view that makes it that much more enjoyable. It's what makes your freeze-dried backpack meal taste that much better, your sleeping bag that much more cozy, and your morning coffee absolutely perfect.

What's stopping you from waking up to your own amazing view? If your first thought was time, that's silly. Make time. If you don't have the gear, rent some from your local gear shop or the folks at The Camp Kit. If you don't know where to go, that's what we're here for. The slideshow above features some amazing views you could have from each of the adventures below. Enjoy the photos, but keep in mind that vicarious living is just a taste of the real thing. It's time to plan your own adventure to find your own incredible view. Feel free to share your photos in the comments below!

It would be awesome to know the locations of the photos!
Dewey Point in Yosemite is pretty cool.
It would be nice if I could save this list to my to-do list instead of clicking it one by one.
