Multnomah Falls is certainly beautiful and shouldn't be overlooked when visiting the Columbia River Gorge for the first time - but given the recent wildfire activity on the Oregon side of the Gorge, these go-to falls (and many more) will be inaccessible for the indefinite future.
The waterfalls on the Washington side of the gorge are often overlooked, and there's no reason to cancel your Gorge trip when the Evergreen State offers equally amazing waterfall experiences. Take curvy Highway 14 east for breathtaking views and visit some of these less-frequented, but no less impressive, waterfalls...
