Big Bend Campground

Big Bend Campground is a Forest Service-run campground along the Highway 120 corridor to Yosemite National Park's eastern entrance gate.

The campground has 17 sites, all available strictly on a first come, first basis. Set along Lee Vining Creek, the campground is amidst a dense stand of trees, which provide shade throughout the site. Camp sites are large enough to accommodate small and medium sized trailers only.

The final portion of the road to access the campground is well-graded dirt. Sites are basic - with only a table, fire pit and food locker. One large central vault toilet building serves the campground, and there are water spigots throughout the area.

The camp host, stationed across the road from the campground, has bundles of firewood for sale.

The campground is open seasonally, determined by the opening of Highway 120, which closes at the first snow each year and reopens again once seasonal conditions have warmed up.
