Blooms Creek is a campground located just a quarter-mile from the Big Basin Redwoods Park Headquarters. With 54 possible camping locations, coin-op showers, old-growth redwoods, and three different hiking trails leading further into the park, you will not be disappointed. All campsites come with picnic tables, food boxes, and a fire pit.

If you are looking for some privacy, try any of the spots across the bridge crossing Blooms Creek. While restrooms do not have showers in that section of the campground, you will be farther away from Highway 236, which can be quite busy with traffic. If you are looking to connect with the East Ridge Trail, this is the area you want to be in.

Restrooms near the entrance and camp host are coin-op. Here is where the connector trail to the Redwood Trail starts. Continuing past this point to the other end of the campground you will find Pine Mountain Trailhead. This area of the campground has some of the nicer campsites, though they are close to the road, so it's kind of a trade off.

This campground, as well as the rest of Big Basin Redwoods State Park, is “Crumb Clean,” meaning they encourage tidy and responsible camping. This area is a natural habitat for the endagered marbled murrelet, and leftover food scraps tend to attract jays and ravens that eat the eggs and kill the young murrelet chicks.
