Bootleg Campground is hidden away amongst thick Jeffrey pines within the Walker River Canyon. The area is quite nice and the West Fork of the Walker River lies just across Highway 395 from the campground and offers great fishing and recreation opportunities. Campsites here are nice and feature a fair amount of privacy and shade. The only downside is the traffic noise from the nearby highway, but it isn’t too much of an annoyance and dies down significantly at night.

Bootleg Campground contains 63 campsites. They are all first come-first served, with no reservations possible. Each site has a paved pad and features a picnic table, fire ring and BBQ grill. No hookups are available, but flushing toilets and potable water is available throughout the campground.

Bootleg Campground is open seasonally, usually late May through mid September, but exact dates vary year to year depending on the weather.
