Five Palms Oasis is a small shaded pool seemingly out of place in the arid Imperial Valley desert.

With warm spring water emerging through a pipe at about 91 degrees into a shallow pool, the oasis sits in the desert, cooly inviting on hot days. The pool is about shin deep, supporting a few species of wildlife such as frogs and small fish. The pool is clothing optional, and sees a small but steady amount of visitors.

There are no amenities of any kind near the oasis. Reaching the oasis requires driving 1.6 miles down a sandy dirt road. While passenger vehicles can sometimes make the drive, other times conditions will cause the soft sand to require a four wheel drive vehicle to access.

While the shaded pool tends to be a little too cool for a comfortable winter soak, it is refreshingly cool during the Imperial Valley's hot summer months.

This is a primitive pool located in the middle of the desert. Please be respectful when visiting.
