Florence Keller County Park and Campground is a good alternative to staying in the Redwood State Park Campgrounds a few miles down Highway 199, particularly if you’re on a cheaper budget. With 50 sites spread out around redwood forest, Florence Keller still offers a redwoods camping experience and without the crowds.

The campground can accommodate vehicles up to 32 feet and has one RV hookup station. Connected to a larger county park, camping here gives you access to covered picnic areas, a volleyball court, horseshoe pits and a playground. However, given that you’re only a few miles from the beauty of the Crescent City coastline and the Redwood National and State Parks, we recommend using the campground as a base camp for exploring Del Norte County’s nearby natural wonders.
