French Camp is a sizable campground located along beautiful Rock Creek, between the towns of Mammoth Lakes and Bishop. It is the first of many campgrounds along Rock Creek Road, at the end of which lies Rock Creek Lake and hiking trails leading to additional alpine lakes and impressive high peaks of the Sierra Nevada Mountains.

The Campground has 86 sites. All campsites are quite nice, with pines and junipers providing a fair amount of shade and privacy. A picnic table, fire ring and bear locker for food storage are found at each campsite. There are no hookups available, but water and flush toilets are available throughout the campground. A dump station is also located just across the street from the campsites.

French Camp is open seasonally from May through October (exact dates vary year to year). Reservations are available here.
