Located at 8,600 feet in elevation, Grandview Campground is a no-frills campground with just 23 sites, no trash, no running water, no RV dump station, questionable cell reception, and 20 miles from the nearest store to buy groceries or firewood. Yet what it lacks in amenities is more than made up for by a sense of quiet, clear night skies and proximity to the Ancient Bristlecone Pine Forest. At just 5 miles away from the forest, Grandview Campground is the nearest place to camp if you are touring this fascinating area.

Upon driving in, campers are asked to use the self-pay station. A sometimes-rough dirt road encircles the campground. Mid-sized RVs should head to the left here as the first few sites in that direction offer ample turnaround space. Three vault toilets serve the campground, and all trash must be packed out. Each campsite has a bench table and a fire ring, though no wood gathering is allowed and all firewood must be brought in from elsewhere.

Note that White Mountain Road is not plowed during the winter. Access to the campground is dependent upon conditions. The campground loop road can also become very muddy after wet conditions.
