Guajome Regional Park is a 394 acre park located near Oceanside, California that offers a variety of recreational opportunities. The park also has a campground with 33 available sites. For day use please note that a $3 parking fee is required.

The park is perhaps best known for its two scenic ponds. The larger lower pond is a great place to fish or watch the resident ducks and geese. The ponds also attract a large variety of migratory birds, in fact it is reported that at least 186 different species of birds have been seen within the park.

The smaller upper pond can be accessed by one of the park’s several hiking trails. All in all the park offers some 4.5 miles of trails that wind through an assortment of terrain including wetland and mixed grasslands. A self guided nature trail is especially popular with families.

The park also offers a good amount of open space for recreation. There are two playgrounds, a fitness area, volleyball, soccer, basketball and much more. There are plentiful great picnic spots including some nicely shaded areas. Lastly, in addition to the campground, there is a large pavilion and family cabin available for reservation.
