Harmony Headlands has been a California state park since 2008, but it remains mostly undeveloped today.  There is basically a parking lot, one trail, a historic ranch building, and a portable toilet. The hike is a real treat, traveling through classic central California marine terrace grasslands that were once slated for a housing development. In early spring the wildflowers down at the headlands can be spectacular, and the landscape is temporarily as green as Ireland.

The trail is an old dirt road that meanders through the gentle hills. A short way up the trail there is a tiny house from the ranching period and a portable toilet. There is not a lot of variation along the trail, and it can get a bit monotonous until the route starts approaching the shore. The coastal views at the end of the trail are quite remarkable and well worth the minimal effort to get there.
