Hendry's Beach and the surrounding Arroyo Burro Beach Park is a very popular spot for tourists and residents to enjoy a beautiful shoreline on the coast of southern California. The beach has a seasonal lifeguard on duty keeping an eye on the plentiful surfers in the water from the tower. The receding tides expose rocky pools, which attract tons of seabirds hunting for small fish.

The beach is quite thin near the restaurant and the parking lot, but it does get wider as you head west down the coast. The beach is large enough to find some solitude if you don't mind walking away from the beach park. There are a few benches and picnic tables that are often used by people waiting to eat at the Boathouse at Hendry's Beach, which is a nice restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

For more information about the beach, visit the County of Santa Barbara.
