Nothing is finer than cabin camping in the woods, except maybe cabin camping among the old-growth redwoods of the California Coast. Big Basin Redwoods State Park is packed with multiple hiking trails, waterfalls, wildlife, and redwoods. If you wish to explore these with a little luxury, reserve one of the 39 cabins at Huckleberry Campground.

There are traditional tent camping spaces that are accessible by car and eight walk-in spaces here as well, so if the cabins are not in your budget you can still find a great spot here. Restrooms with showers, potable water, food boxes, fire pits, picnic tables and parking for one vehicle all come included with your rental.

This campground, as well as the rest of Big Basin Redwoods State Park, is “Crumb Clean,” meaning they encourage tidy and responsible camping. This area is a natural habitat for the endagered marbled murrelet, and leftover food scraps tend to attract jays and ravens that eat the eggs and kill the young murrelet chicks.

I'm looking to go next month for my birthday and the only campsites available in December are 65, 66, 67, 68, 69, 70, 72 and going with 8 people. Help!
