Lower Rush Creek Campground is a small, quaint campground located within the Modoc National Forest. The campsites here are best suited for smaller trailers, vans or tent campers. Trailers over 22 feet in length are not recommended. The highlight of the campground is scenic Rush Creek that flows through, providing a scenic backdrop to many of the campsites.

There are 10 total campsites at Lower Rush Creek Campground. You’ll find a picnic table and fire ring at each site. A handful of sites are “walk in” sites located across rush creek. You’ll park on the main side, then cross a footbridge over the creek to the sites where you can set up a tent.

Lower Rush Creek Campground is open seasonally, usually May through October. Note that during periods of wet weather the dirt access road can become saturated and impassible.

No reservations are possible, all campsites are first come, first served.
