Mount Hermon is a year-round retreat center and camp nestled in the forested mountains above Santa Cruz. It offers several aerial adventure courses that combine educational guides with a unique way to see and experience the area's redwood forests. Beginning at the Adventure Center located on Mount Hermon's large resort-like campus, three primary adventure tours are offered:

The Sequoia Aerial Adventure Tour allows visitors to create their own aerial trail course by crossing a variety of elements and obstacles perched up to nearly 80 feet above the forest floor. The course is created to be family-friendly, and visitors are taught how to move along the course using the safety harness system that keeps people tethered to a safety line at all times while being able to select their route and obstacles. Elements vary in degree of difficulty from solid wooden plank walkways to swinging ropes. Additional elements include a zip line and an autobelay that lets visitors freefall for several feet before lowering them slowly to the bottom of the trees.

Redwood Canopy Tours are popular adventures that combine a guided educational tour through the redwood forest with ziplines that leave from platforms throughout the forest. In all, six zip lines allow visitors to hover up to 140 feet above the forest floor and creek below as guides ensure safety and explain the cycles of the coast redwood forest. Sky bridges and a platform where safely harnessed visitors are encouraged to lean over the edge, looking down at the drop beneath them.

Discovery Grove offers a combination of the Sequoia Aerial Adventure and the Redwood Canopy Tours that is meant for the younger crowd, and it is a fun option for birthday parties and group events on a scaled down course.

All tours are family and group friendly, and groups are limited in size to ensure that all members can receive attention and assistance from guides. Each adventure begins with an explanation of safety procedures and fitting for harnesses that keep group members tethered to safety lines throughout their adventures. Tours are available year round and tend to last about two hours.
