Parker Lake lies nestled in the Eastern Sierra, set below the landscape of Parker Peak, Koip Peak and Mt Lewis. The lake itself is scenic with idyllic blue waters surrounded by pine forest.

An out-and-back trail climbs a little over 600 feet in a 1.5 mile route over a moderate grade to the lake, with the steepest climbing being the first portion before reaching the forest. Starting out in shadeless chaparral, the trail eventually reaches pine and aspen forest, with Parker Creek running beside it in a series of calming shallow pools.

Once at the lake, a loop trail circles the water, with a fork that heads to Silver Lake and the Sierra Crest.

Parker Lake is a popular fishing spot. Expect to see some hikers bring chairs and fishing gear along for their hike.

Views of Mono Lake await hikers on their return back to the trailhead.

The June Lake Loop closes during winter conditions, preventing vehicles from driving to the trailhead from highway 395. The only amenities at the trail is a vault toilet at the trailhead.
