Shaws Cove is a smaller beach in north Laguna Beach that can be a calmer alternative to the more popular city beaches.

Tucked into a neighborhood and accessible by a single staircase from the street above, Shaws Cove is a sandy beach with areas where visitors can throw out a blanket or walk to the north end of the beach to explore tide pools on the flat rocks. These smaller beaches tend to provide a more intimate beach day setting, and are a more popular with families as the cove environment tends to lessen the size of the waves that break here. Overall, Shaws Cove is a more quiet and calm alternative for a day at the beach.

Shaws Cove is open daily from 6am - 10pm. Dogs are not permitted on the beach between June 15th and September 10th, and must be leashed during times when they are allowed on the beach.

There are no bathrooms, showers, or lifeguards at Shaws Cove. The staircase to Shaws Cove is located at the intersection of Cliff Drive and Fairview Street in Laguna Beach.
