Sherwin Creek Campground is located up Sherwin Creek Road, about 10 minutes from downtown Mammoth Lakes, California. The secluded location is perfect for those that want to feel like they are far away from the city, but still remain close to nearby attractions. Speaking of attractions, several fantastic hikes take off from near the campground including Valentine Lake Trail, Sherwin Lakes Trail and Mammoth Rock Trail.

The sizable campground offers 85 campsites, and is open seasonally May though September (exact dates vary year to year). Campsites here are quite nice, fairly private and well shaded by Jeffrey Pines. There is a section of 15 campsites that are tent only, walk-in sites. The remainder of the campground is suitable for anything from tents and vans to larger trailers and RVs. All sites have a picnic table, fire ring and bear vault for food storage. Note that no hookups are available at any of the sites. There is potable water and vault toilets located throughout the campground.
