Stonyvale Picnic Area is a family friendly day use area surrounded by beautiful mountain peaks and located within Angeles National Forest just outside of Los Angeles, CA. Accommodations include a large parking area, picnic tables, vault toilets, and trash bins.

Visitors to this picnic area can sit by the water and relax along the Big Tujunga Creek while soaking in the surrounding scenery of some of Angeles National Forest’s most popular peaks (Strawberry Peak, Josephine Peak, Condor Peak, Mt. Lukens, etc).

Visitors who would like a more active experience can explore the Grizzly Flat Trail, a well maintained single track trail that leads to Highway 2 and other connecting trails. The trails in the area are popular amongst hikers, trail runners and mountain bikers.

The picnic area hours are from 6am to 10pm and the area is managed by the US Forest Service. For more information you can visit: https://www.fs.usda.gov/recarea/angeles/recarea/?recid=41930
