If you’re looking for an accessible yet secluded campground along with some beautiful scenery in Death Valley National Park, Texas Springs should be high on your list. Located just over a mile away from Furnace Creek, you are just minutes away from stocking up on all you need to launch your Death Valley adventures. Popular hikes such as Golden Canyon to Zabriskie Point or geological wonders like Badwater Basin and the Devils Golf Course are all within close proximity.

Texas Springs has 92 individual, not-reservable camping sites. The lower tent areas are a little more private and spaced out compared to most of the park campgrounds. The abundance of foliage provides a decent amount of shade, which can be a great spot to pitch a tent. Restrooms with flushing toilets and potable water stations are located in the upper and lower areas of the campground. Texas Springs is only open from October 15 through May 1. While is neither the least nor most expensive place to camp in the park, the only form of payment accepted here is a credit card, so be sure to bring yours with you.
