Tuff Campground is situated just off Highway 395, near the small town of Crowley Lake. The campground lies at an elevation of 7,000 feet and is usually the first campground in the Rock Creek area to open for the season. While certainly not as scenic as the campgrounds further up Rock Creek Canyon, Tuff Campground is a great option for shoulder season campers or those looking to be near the highway for easier access to attractions like Lake Crowley.

Tuff Campground features 34 individual campsites. Many of the sites are exposed to the sun, but feature nifty shade pavilions to help campers keep cool. Lower Rock Creek does flow beside the campground and is a scenic spot to fish for trout.

All campsites have a picnic table, fire pit and bear box for safe food storage. No hookups are available, but vault toilets and potable water are available throughout the campground. Reservations aren’t required but are available here.
