Two Harbors Campground is the primary camping area on Catalina Island's less-visited side of the island.

Having a lot less tourism infrastructure, the Two Harbors side of the island tends to see visitors that are here to visit the island's backcountry, or make a stop at one of the two quieter harbors. Two Harbors Campground is set up to accomodate this variety of visitors - offering 47 tent sites, group campsites, and sites with tent cabin rentals already set up with cots ready to go.

Operated by the Catalina Island Company, the campground offers all types of gear rental, including sleeping bags, tents, stoves, firewood and fuel, as well as selling gear haul services from and to the ferry stop at Two Harbors.

Most tent sites contain a picnic table, fire pit and grill. Some have shade shelters, while others are exposed.

Lying as the starting/ending point for hikers doing the Trans Catalina Trail, hikers tend to pitch their tents on a dirt flat overlooking the water each night.

The campground has water available in several spigots located throughout. Outhouses and outdoor showers are located in the campground as well.

A dirt walking path heads between the campground and Two Harbors beach, where the trailhead office, grocery store, ferry stop, flush bathrooms and a seasonal restaurant operate.

Sites start at around $30 per night, with tent cabin rentals starting at around $70 per night, with factors such as season and holidays factoring into the rates.

More complete information and online reservation forms can be found at the Catalina Island Company website.
