Waterfall Loop is a short hike through the lower section of Uvas Canyon. Water runoff from the Santa Cruz Mountains that flows into Swanton Creek has shaped this landscape, and many rocky creek beds support a variety of plant and wildlife. Waterfall Loop gets its name from the hundreds of tiny waterfalls along the downstream course. Many bridges have been built along this trail to traverse this creek and unsafe walking areas of the canyon.

This is an easy-going hike with minimal elevation change. Along the way, take time to check out the self guided nature tour. A brochure explaining the various flora on this tour can be found in the informational kiosk near the trailhead. This trail is under the canopy of over five different tree species, which keeps this area cool in the Central Valley heat.

This is a short but sweet hiking adventure with trail connections to Contour Falls and Alec Canyon. Water can be found at many of the picnic sites near the trailhead. Leashed dogs are welcome on all trails in Uvas Canyon County Park.
