Willow Creek Campground sits along a rural stretch of Highway 139 in the Modoc National Forest.

Consisting of 8 sites along a single paved road with a turnaround at the end, the sites sit amongst the pine trees and remain separated from the highway by a wide swath of forest land. Each site has a picnic table, a fire pit and a grill. There are a couple water spigots throughout the campground, and a single vault toilet that serves the campground.

Parking spaces are large enough for up to a smaller mid-sized RV. Reservations are not accepted. Instead each site can be occupied on a first-come, first serve basis. Payment can be made at the pay station located at the large info board that is seen upon entering the campground.

All sites are amongst the pine trees, and the campground's location seemingly in the middle of nowhere ensures that things are generally pretty quiet. A small footpath from Site 1 leads to the neighboring Willow Creek Roadside Picnic Area, which has a few more tables set beneath the trees and a slightly nicer and larger vault toilet. A few cars traveling along the highway that pull over here is about the most noise you'll get.

Willow Creek itself runs adjacent to the campground, and a small bridge crosses it, however it's usually a pretty small and quiet creek and only adds to the campground's feel in a very slight way.

Parking spaces and the tight turnaround at the end of the single road through the campground only accommodate smaller-mid size RVs.

Willow Creek Campground is open seasonally as weather permits - generally around a timeline of mid-May through late October. Water should be boiled before use. Rates are $12 per night with a 14 day limit.
