The Yuba Trail is a 2.1-mile long beginner-rated trail stretching from Royal Gorge Ski Resort's Summit Station to the Wilderness Hut, a warming hut that provides a good break area.

Heading over rolling hills, the general trend is to gradually lose elevation - about 300 feet over the 2-mile distance - as the trail heads west and away from the Summit Station. There is one steep slope, though a slightly lengthier bypass trail allows skiers to take it at a more gentle grade.

The hut can provide either a turnaround point for an out-and-back, or it can connect to adjacent Kidd Lake/Wiesel or Palisade trails to further head into the resort's network of trails.

As one of the primary trails, the Yuba Trail receives daily grooming, though trails that branch off from the Wilderness Hut receive varying grooming, depending on weather conditions.
