Anna's Cabin is located just south of Fremont Pass between Copper Mountain and Leadville. The cabin offers wonderful vistas and seclusion, and it sits on the Contenental Divide at 11,700 feet. The surronding San Isabel National Forest allows visitors instant access to backcountry skiing, snowshoeing, and snowmobile activities.

To access the cabin, park along Highway 91 on the north side. To the north, the trail begins up FR 134. The route is 1.8 miles, most of which is moderately steep gain in elevation. The forest road tends to be mostly packed and easy to snowshoe or skin up; however, after a fresh snowfall the route might take a little longer.  At the first fork in the trail, turn east (right) and begin ascending up the hill for three-quarters of a mile. A drainage will appear, and you will see the first glimpse of the cabin on the hillside.

Inside you will find a well appointed and rustic cabin. Follow the owner's instructions on how to prepare the cabin for use. There is provided firewood and a wood stove that keeps this hut nice and toasty. Comfortable chairs and couches are availabe in the main living room, and a large community kitchen dinning table provide a venue for enjoying the mountain evenings among friends. The kitchen is stocked with pots, pans and a gas burner range and stove. There is no running water at the cabin, so melting snow for water is crucial for drinking and washing dishes. There is a compostable toilet indoors for easy access during the winter. There is plenty of room for several guests, including a downstairs queen bed, two sets of bunkbeds in the loft, and an additional bed upstairs.

For activities, simply walk out the front door and choose your terrain. To the west, a mild skin up through the trees provides a quick hot lap arena. Hiking up to the east, you can summit Chalk Mountain and ski either east to the highway for a giant loop or head back down to the cabin.
