Nestled among the firs in the western end of Horseshoe Park, the Endovalley Day Use Area is a quiet, expansive day use area to spend a lazy afternoon picnicking, relaxing alongside Fall River or exploring the small cascades nearby. Situated just before the gate to Old Fall River Road, it can be combined with the relaxed ascent to the Alpine Visitor Center for an easygoing and enjoyable family afternoon.

The area features 32 picnic tables, each with its own fire pit, and two well-maintained vault toilets, all of which is evenly spread over a half-mile loop. The sites along the outside of the ring are the most desirable and diverse: along the northern rim, picnic tables are dispersed in an outcropping of large granite boulders, while those on the western and southern rim are accompanied by the sound of bubbling creeks. Sundance Creek and Chiquita Creek converge with Fall River just beyond Endovalley Day Use Area, and trails to charming little cascades on Sundance Creek and Fall River offer families with children a safe and enjoyable place to play.

Those seeking a little more adventure can continue along the trails, which gradually fade into game trails used by elk to travel between Horseshoe Park and Fall River Cirque. Within a half mile or so, these trails begin to ascend the Fall River canyon and become rougher, but not impossible, to follow. Small cascades, cliff outcroppings and solitude make a short jaunt past more trammeled terrain worthwhile.
