Lower Casacade Falls, which is more of a roadside pullou walk than a hike is the largest waterfall in the Ouray valley, next to Bear Creek Falls found on the Million Dollar Highway south of town. Located in Cascade Falls Park, Lower Falls is a delightful and spectacular waterfall.

This short 0.5 mile there-and-back walk is certainly worth the time, however. Found on the north west edge of town past main street turn right on 8th ave. Just up the steep road you'll come to a dead end which serves as parking. You'll see signage and information on the falls as well as the Perimiter Trail, which is a popular loop trail around the town of Ouray.

Contuniing up the trail you'll quickly see Cascade Falls and the boulder filed the waterfall is crashing down upon. Upper Cascade Falls can be reached by following the longer and much steeper trail to the Chief Ouray Mine.
