One of the best parts of Silver Jack Lake and the surrounding area is the lovely campground at the north end of the lake below the dam. Nestled among the spruce forests, aspen groves, and wildflower meadows of the Cimmaron Ridge area, this campground is a real gem.

Sites are all first-come, first-served and reservations are not available. A typical national forest campground, Silver Jack does not have RV hook ups, dump stations, or other trappings of civilization, though you will find potable drinking water. What it does have are beautiful sites, most with plenty of privacy and wonderful views of the surrounding forest, and easy access to the lake and the trails around it. The boat lauch and fishing access are a few miles away near the south end of the lake, and most of the time boaters may have the lake to themselves.
