Branford Spring is a 72-degree spring within Ivey Memorial Park in the town of Branford.

The spring rises from a couple of different vents in the pool, which lies at the bottom of a sloped depression. Limestone is visible from the water, while steps from the parking area lead down to a wooden boardwalk that circles the spring on three sides. From the source, the water flows slowly through an L-shaped bend and right into the adjacent Suwannee River. The river is close enough, in fact, that fluctuating river levels can fill the spring area, making the water much murkier in appearance.

Swimming and diving are permitted in the spring.

Right next to the spring area is Ivey Memorial Park, a spacious town park with covered picnic benches, outhouses, grass area, benches overlooking the river, and two boat ramps. Atop one slope looking out over the river is a tall pole with markings signifying the various flood levels that the river has reached over the decades.

From the confluence of the spring run and the Suwannee you can look up and see a nearby traffic bridge crossing the river, though in the sheltered depression of the spring itself, it feels like development may be far away.

The spring and park are open daily from sunrise until sunset. There is no fee to enter the spring area.

A dive shop and all other amenities are located just a couple of minutes away in the town of Branford.
