Gamble Rogers State Park Campground

Gamble Rogers State Park's campsites are divided into two main areas: 34 sites along the river and an additional 34 on the dunes of the Atlantic Ocean. Gamble Rogers itself encompasses 145 acres and includes birding, fishing, swimming, and hiking opportunities, in addition to a boat ramp leading to Smith Creek.

Along the creek, the campsites are arranged in a loop with one restroom. These sites are located near the ramp and a 3/4-mile hiking trail that weaves throughout the coastal hammock. The dune sites are arranged along a dirt road bordering the beach and include an additional restroom. While these sites are unshaded, they feature incredible views of the Atlantic Ocean. Wooden boardwalks allow passage to the beach without damaging the fragile dunes. The sand sports a unique, orange hue, a result of the ground up coquina shell pieces. For campers with kids, the park provides a Bedtime Story Camper Lending Library with books for elementary school students.

All sites include electricity, water, a fire ring, and access to a dump station. Visitors can enjoy sunrises over the Atlantic Ocean and sunsets over the Intracoastal Waterway. The campground is close to local restaurants, grocery stores, and other shops.
