Lake Griffin State Park Campground lies within the 620-acre Lake Griffin State Park. The 40-site campground is set on a loop road that circles a large modern and clean bathroom building. Each site contains water and electricity and is set in the lush foliage that provides a fair amount of privacy between neighboring campsites. Additionally, several sites have sewer hookups, and there are a couple pull-through sites for larger rigs. Each site has a fire pit, picnic table and food hook.
The campground also has an amphitheatre for occasional ranger-led programs, and an easy hiking path connects the campground to the central day-use area of the park. Sites 1 and 27 are ADA-friendly. There is a book exchange library located beside the laundry machines. There is also an RV dump station and laundry facilities inside the campground.
Due to its proximity to the urban offerings of the greater Orlando area, this campground can often reach capacity during the winter months, so booking well-ahead for the peak season may be a good idea.
