Kakahai'a Beach Park is one of several county operated beach parks on Molokai. The south shore park is narrow, containing a few benches and grills and a portable bathroom. As the water is shallow and cloudy, condtions aren't great for swimming or wading here. The park might be best suited for having a picnic or casting a line. There was once an inland fish pond here, however that pond is no longer in use.

What may be an attraction for visitors here is that the beach park sits opposite the Kakahai'a National Wildlife Refuge, being home to two endangered native species of bird - the Hawaiian Stilt and the Hawaiian Coot. The refuge land is mostly located across the highway, and dwarfs the beach park in size. However the beach park is the accessible portion of the refuge, and visitors can sit here and view the islands of Maui and Lanai across the waters.

Kakahai'a Beach Park is open daily from 7am to 7pm. There is no water available.
