Kekaha Kai State Park is blessed with several memorable beaches such as Makalawena Beach and Mahai'ula Beach, but Manini'ōwali Beach is one of the best. This northernmost beach in the park is accessed via its own road off of Highway 19, but it still features the state park amenities such as restrooms and showers that make it easy to pass a day here. Note that there is no drinking water here, so be sure to bring your own.

And after checking out the fine white sand, fun waves, and picturesque setting, you'll want to set up for as long as possible. This little beach is an ideal spot and a favorite among locals, especially on weekends. Nearby alternatives may be a good idea when the beach becomes crowded. Come here when the crowds are more relaxed, however, and you'll enjoy the gentle slope into the water, the waves that are great for boogie boarding, and maybe even a bite to eat from the on-site food trailer. Families will find a good fit here, too, though parents should definitely keep an eye on the wave conditions; there are no lifeguards at Manini'ōwali Beach. Also, dogs are prohibited.
