VOR Beach

VOR Beach lies on Maui's north shore in a secluded area, giving the beach a quiet and private feel.

Set almost directly beneath the runway flight path from the airport, reaching VOR Beach takes driving down a road to a secluded neighborhood, and then parking in a sandy turnaround immediately above the shoreline.

With protection from an outlying stretch of reef, waves at VOR Beach are generally gentle, and the trees lining the sand in either direction create a nice stretch of beach for walking along. 

Those looking to explore the coast can walk some of the closed dirt roads in this area and come across some unspoiled and undeveloped coastline, thanks to its location in the airport flight line.

There are no amenities of any kind at VOR Beach. Instead, it's a good spot for those looking to get away from the beach crowds in this populated part of the island.
