If your agenda is to climb City of Rocks, nothing gets you closer to the game than City of Rocks Campground. These dry campsites are dispersed throughout the reserve with walk-in and drive-in access. Refer to the campground brochure for an overhead view of which campsites are within walking distance of favorite climbing destinations such as Elephant Rock, Bath Rock, and Bread Loaves. Shade is at a premium during the summer months in City of Rocks. Also refer to the campground brochure for coded reference of each site’s shade status.

Days can be hot and unprotected, and water is a drive away from most camping areas. Pack large water jugs to fill up at Emery Canyon Picnic area or at the Bath Rock parking lot.

Group sites are available at Twin Sisters, Bread Loaves, and Juniper.  Juniper Group Site also features a backcountry corral for equestrian campers.
