Paradise Campground is a humble spot in the middle of an expansive wilderness. To get to Paradise Campground you must travel over 2 hours from Darby, Montana over the formidable Magruder Crossing before you descend into the Selway watershed. In the process you will enjoy some spectacular views of the Frank Church-River of No Return Wilderness and the Selway-Bitterroot Wilderness. Traveling this historic corridor is really half the fun of camping at Paradise, so don’t forsake the journey for the destination.

The campground itself is situated on the banks of White Cap Creek just upstream from its confluence with the Selway River.  This collection of eight sites is a very popular spot for lucky boaters prepping for one of the country’s premiere river trips and for horse packers and hikers using the outstanding Selway River Trail. The campground is humble; you’ll find potable water, picnic tables, fire rings, vault toilets, and feeding stalls for livestock. Sites are not very private, so prepare to share if you are there on a busy night. Given the remote location, however, and the specific use in the area, the odds of such traffic are low. The area is first-come, first-served.
