Redfish Lake Inlet Campground

This tiny backcountry campground is located at the far end of Redfish Lodge. Redfish Lake is a 5-mile-long finger of water that reaches right up to the Sawtooth Wilderness boundary, and the campground makes a great staging area for a backpacking trip up into the high country or a “no hiking required” camping spot that offers all the solitude and quiet of the backcountry when the boats stop running.

The campground has six well-separated camping areas allowing up to 10 people at each area There is a picnic table, fire ring and a circle of sitting logs at each campsite along with a vault toilet, but there is no drinking water. Sites are not reservable, but the campground is not heavily used and there is almost always plenty of space. There is one main trail heading up Redfish Lake Creek Canyon with lots of great destinations and side trails, and there is an easy short trail up to Lily Lake which even young children can do.
