Willard Beach is a small family-friendly beach located on the eastern shore of South Portland. Owned and operated by the City of South Portland, the beach is open and free to the public. Situated on Simonton Cove, the beach stretches from Spring Point to Fisherman’s Point, where a few old fishing huts still remain perched on the rocky point.

The beach has a great view of the Casco Bay and some of its fortified islands such as Fort Scammel on House Island and Fort Gorges. A few park benches rest atop Fisherman's Point, which is a great place to watch the passing of boats and ships. The nearshore water is well sheltered and shallow, allowing one to wade out a great distance from the beach. During the summer months, a lifeguard is on duty.

A bathhouse sits at the main entry with restrooms, outdoor showers, and a small concession stand. Alongside the bathhouse is a playground structure for young ones.

In the summer, dogs are allowed on the beach during the morning hours between 6 a.m. and 9 a.m. and in the evenings from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. From October 1 until April 30, dogs are allowed on the beach all day from 6 a.m. until 9 p.m.

There are a few access points to the beach. The main entry is off of Willow Street at the end of a cul-de-sac. A small parking lot lies just up the street. Another point of entry is on the north end at the South Portland Community College. Other points of entry can be found at the ends of neighborhood streets.
