A great destination for families with small children, Children’s Beach Park has a lot to offer. With a food stand, open field, benches, a playground and a lifeguard protected beach, Children’s Beach is a perfect choice for visiting families.

There is free on-street parking all along the quiet road next to Children’s Beach Park. There is a large and open grassy field for sports and games, and many activities for children such as yoga, dance, circus and movie nights are offered at a bandstand. To get involved there is a booth where you can see the daily schedule and sign your children up for an activity. Swimming is a great option at Children’s Beach as well; lifeguards are watching, the sand is soft, the waves are minimal, and there are ropes separating the boats and the swimming area. Right next to the beach there is a paved path that has benches all along it. Here, you can watch the children play in the sand without having to get sandy yourself. A playground and swing set is also conveniently right next to the beach for children to have various playing options. Should you get hungry after your day of playing, there is a concession stand available.

If you have young children, Children’s Beach Park will be a great stop on your Nantucket adventure.
