Miners Falls Trail is a 1.2 mile out-and-back trail located in the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore near Munising, Michigan. Unlike most national parks, dogs are allowed on this trail when kept on a leash that is six feet or shorter. There are no fees to visit Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. To reach the parking area for this trail from Munising, head east on Alger County Road H58 for about 6.5 mile. Next head north on Miners Castle Road for 4 miles and take a right on the gravel Miners Falls Road. Miners Falls Road ends in a half mile at the parking area.  There are a few picnic tables located by the parking lot. There are no restrooms here; however there are restrooms nearby at Miners Castle.

This trail leads to Miners Falls, a waterfall of about 50 feet in height. The trail is quite wide and it is a gravel and dirt path. The trail takes hikers through a hardwood forest over gently rolling terrain, with a very gradual elevation drop which makes this hike suitable for almost all skill levels. Near the end of the hike, the trail splits. The trail to the right leads to a partially obscured view of Miners Falls. Taking the trail to the left leads down a set of 64 stairs to a small viewing platform that provides an excellent view of Miners Falls.

There are no other trail options for this hike, so after watching the waters of the Miners River flow over a sandstone outcrop, return the way you came. Please stay on the trail, there is evidence of many visitors leaving the trail and causing damage to the forest floor.
