The Wetmore Pond Trail is an easy half mile out-and-back hike to a very pretty pond with rock outcroppings. The parking loop for this hike is on the west side of CR 550 just north of the parking turn off for Sugarloaf Mountain near Marquette, Michigan. Dogs are allowed on this trail if they are on a leash.

After parking, look for the Wetmore Pond tailhead sign and follow the white blazes. The hike to Wetmore Pond is heavily wooded with some roots and rocks to navigate. Once you reach Wetmore Pond there is an observation platform on the edge of the pond the provides nice views of the pond and a pristine bog habitat. After taking is the beautiful pond and rock outcroppings, you can return the way you came or hike other nearby trails.

A map that shows trails in the area including this hike can be found here.
