The Coon Rapids Dam Regional Park offers 10 kilometers of groomed cross-country ski trails. These trails are groomed for both classic and skate skiing. The trails are on relatively flat land near the Mississippi River. To the south of the visitor center there is a lollipop loop that is 4.3 kilometers length, and to the north there is a 3.6 kilometer loop. The northern loop can be shortened to a 2.5 kilometer loop by taking a short cutoff trail. The trails are one way for the most part. Ski rental equipment is available at the Visitor Center on the weekends

Skiing at the Coon Rapids Dam Regional Park requires a Great Minnesota Ski Pass. A daily pass is available for purchase at the visitor center. If you are interested in a one-year or three-year pass, they can be purchased online. Parking at the Coon Rapids Dam Regional Park requires an Anoka County regional park permit. There is ample parking at the park.
