The Savanna Campground is one of two campgrounds at William O'Brien State Park. It located about a mile away from the St. Croix River. The campground is wooded and has 65 sites. 37 of the sites have electric hookups with 50 amp service. There are two wheelchair accessible sites which is near the restrooms. The sites are somewhat close together; but to provide more privacy then park’s other campground, the Riverway Campground. The ground has 4 loops; all the sites in the first two loops have electric, while the other two do not.

The Savanna Campground has a bathroom and shower building that as well as a two vault toilets. The campground is open year round, but water, flush toilets, and showers are only available from mid-April until mid-October. There is one dump station that services both campgrounds. All the sites can be reserved.
