Whitten Park is one of the cleanest and well cared for parks in the state of Mississippi. It offers a wide variety of activities for all ages. The staff at the park are very kind and helpful for any request you may have. If you live close to this area, there is a year-round marina where you can store you boat or jet ski. If you are coming for a day of fishing, you will find a large parking area near the boat ramp. There are also several fishing piers spread throughout the area. This park puts a focus on environmental protection. Please take some time to read the rules before you adventure into the park. One of the top benefits for America the Beautiful national park pass holders is the free camping nights you can obtain here. If you are up for camping, this park is a great place to go and get away from everything. In the nearby city of Tupelo, you can find shopping, Elvis Presley’s birthplace, and many other exciting things to do.

Note for motorized boaters: Pay close attention to the cedar knobs sticking out of the water.
