Peak 7544 lies on the Montana/Idaho broder over 20 miles into the Bitteroot Mountains. The road to the trailhead is very long and bumpy so a high clearance vehicle is recommended. You will pass multiple lakes on your way to the summit. Moose are very common in this area so when passing the lakes take a rest and keep your eyes peeled.

Once you reach the top of Wahoo Pass you will pass a Wilderness/National Forest sign. This is the border marker so once you pass you will be in pacific time. Don't be surprised when your cell phone falls an hour back. The trail weaves in and out over the state line the rest of the way to the summit.

From the summit you'll get vast views of the Montana and Idaho Bitterroot mountains. You'll also get a commanding view of Twin Lakes and multiple lakes on the Idaho side as well.
