The Swan Valley is a lovely area that is very popular with locals for fishing, boating, camping, and hiking. At the southern end of the valley, Seeley Lake is one of the more developed areas, but it is a wonderful place to spend some quiet time near the water with the amenities of a small town nearby. There are three campgrounds around the southern end of Seeley Lake: Big Larch (largest and closest to town), River Point (smallest and quietest), and Seeley Lake (great for boaters).

River Point is located at the Clearwater River outlet to the lake. There is no boat ramp, but there is a nice day-use area with a swimming area on the lake side of the point. Some of the sites are along the river, and kayaks or other small boats can be tied up for easy access. The campground is one small loop and is very thickly-wooded with larch and other conifers. The sites are spacious and great for tents up to fairly large RVs. This is a peaceful and beautiful campground with lots to do. All sites are first-come, first-served, and in the summer the campground fills most days by noon. Open late May to early September.
