The Hickison Petroglyph Recreation Area Campground is a free campground managed by the Bureau of Land Management near Nevada's Monitor Valley. It is located immediately adjacent to a short and partially ADA-accessible Interpretive Trail that leads to several clusters of Western Shoshone rock engravings that are up to 10,000 years old.

The campground itself contains 16 sites along a short dirt loop road. Each site has a picnic table, some of which are sheltered from sun and wind, a firepit grill, and room for a vehicle. The overflow from the day use parking area may be large enough to accommodate small- to mid-sized RVs, though large RVs will likely have a very hard time navigating the turnaround and won't be able to fit on the campground loop.

The campground has a vault toilet. There is no water, no electricity and no trash service available anywhere in the area, nor is there phone reception. The campground's location near Hickison Summit also makes it prone to weather extremes. For those seeking a place without major highway noise or light pollution, this is it!

BLM use limits of 14 consecutive days apply here. The nearest water and supplies are located in either the towns of Austin or Eureka.
