Riverbend Campground is the campground nearest to the visitor center of Walker River State Recreation Area. With 16 sites that currently serve tent and RV campers set along a single loop road, each site has a covered picnic bench along with a fire pit and grill. One central bathroom building with flush toilets and free shower services the campground. From the campground, a short path leads to the edge of Walker River and a small wading area.

Walker River SRA and Riverbend Campground opened in late 2018, and both remain in an ongoing state of development and construction. The construction of cabins containing enhanced amenities is planned for the campground in the future.

Camp fees are $15 nightly, payable at the self-pay station at the campground's entrance.
