Samuel Buckland Campground is a 20 site campground located inside the main area of Fort Churchilll State Historic Park

The campground sits a short walk from the bank of the Carson River, and is set beneath the canopy of large cottonwood trees. Each site has a table and fire ring with grill. The trees throughout the campground provide a fair amount of privacy between neighboring sites.

Vault toilets serve the campground, and an RV dump station sits just outside the campground's entrance. Camp fees are $15 nightly, firewood is offered for sale at the campground for $5 per bundle. Sites are offered on a first-come, first-served basis only, and no RV hookups are available.

Site #20 is ADA-friendly. The Stewart Trail begins between sites 13 and 14.
